Yay, my second tutorial!

A few people have asked me how I do my watermarks. It's actually a really simple technique, but I tend to over-explain things. Really, once you have the brush or text made, it takes all of two seconds to stick a watermark on this way.

Anywho, enjoy. I hope it works for everyone, and if there are parts that are unclear I'll be glad to explain in more detail.

Watermarks are sadness, but I think of it as giving them a nicer-looking alternative to the big DA watermark. Because some people want to have protection from art thieves, and watermarks are nicer than just uploading art really small to avoid theft.

It should work in GIMP, I would think. I haven't tried GIMP before, but it should work in any art program that supports transparency and layers. :D
