Sun Dance

For some reason, I've been in a six-month art funk. I haven't drawn anything I'm incredibly proud of, and every 'major' art piece I attempted turned out rather horrible. I couldn't finish art for other people because I was so disappointed with the results. So I took a break from serious art for a while, content to do little doodles here and there and hoping that somehow my inspiration would return.

Well, I finally realized the key to my art: I just have to tell myself I'm drawing a new desktop background. Hehe! I just wanted a change, so I decided to do something with Arikalen. And to offset a blue dragon, I slapped in an orange background. The result turned out better than I expected, which is nice. I'm not sure why exactly he feels like dancing on a lake while watching the sun set, but it works for me. And he's on the right side of the image because all of my icons are on the left.

So yes. A new dragon piece (finally) that looks halfway decent, yay!
